What is a noun?
A noun is a word that names a person, place, thing or idea.
Example: Fire Station is a noun because it is a place.
Unit 2: Common and Proper Nouns
Nouns that have a particular person, place, thing or idea is a proper noun.
Proper noun is a noun but the first letter is capital.

Nouns that don't have a particular person, place, thing or idea is a common noun.
A common noun is a noun but it just stays the same and the beginning is not capital.

Unit 3: Singular and Plural Nouns
A noun that names one person, place, thing or idea is a singular noun.
A noun that names 2 or more people,places,things or ideas is a plural noun.
Example: Car, is a singular noun

Possessive names who or what owns something.
If the word is singular put an 's. Ex: the cat's whiskers.
If the word is plural and has an s in the end then put an ' after the s. Ex: the girls' dogs.
If the word is plural and does not have an s in the end then put an 's. Ex: the geese's pond.
